Aroma India can be found at the Main Street entrance to The Hub in Greytown. The restaurant is owned and operated by myself, Mohammed Khan.
I have worked in the hospitality industry for many years. We opened in July 2015 and since then, have built a reputation for fine food and personal service. We are a family-oriented business and have a strong local customer and visitor base.
Our chefs are from different parts of India and bring with them their own specialities, allowing us to offer a varied menu. We like to serve innovative, fresh meals – our spices are mixed in the restaurant rather than using ready-mixed packets and we make our own paneer in-house. This helps to give our food its unique “Aroma India flavour”. Customers can order their meal to suit their tastes from Kiwi, Indian or English, mild, medium or hot.
We encourage people with specific dietary needs to let us know when making a booking and we are more than happy to discuss menu options with them, or to cook something suitable.
One of our most popular dishes is butter chicken to which we give an “Aroma India” twist. Our fish and seafood dishes are also very popular, as is our extensive range of vegetarian options. We are also happy to create banquets for large groups.
We offer deliveries as an option for orders above $40. Home deliveries are free within the Greytown area and for a small delivery fee throughout Wairarapa. Just select “Delivery” at the checkout. If you want to discuss delivery to areas not on the list, please get in touch.
I look forward to welcoming you to “Aroma India”,

As you would expect, at Aroma India we are passionate about the environment. After all, it provides the amazing ingredients that we use to create our curries.
So you won’t be surprised to learn that we have joined the movement to ban plastic carrier bags for good.
All our curries are now delivered, or provided for collection, in environmentally-friendly paper bags. We have selected these based on a combination of usability and cost, and we welcome your feedback about the decisions we have made.
When you reach the checkout, you will see a small additional charge, so that we can continue to provide this facility. If you are able to bring back your bags in good condition for re-use, we will even reward you with a small gift!
